ARCjazz Trio

ARCjazz Trio is a multi-faceted vibes jazz trio: vibes, acoustic bass, drums. We play original compositions but acknowledge a profound debt to the most iconic and influential improvisers, band leaders, and composers of the last sixty years: Mingus, Monk, Miles, Trane, Ornette, Bill Evans, McCoy, Dolphy, and others. Join our musical conversation, which is "Enabled by the past, open to the future, embracing the mystery of the present."

Michael Mandrell

Michael Mandrell is an artistic and passionate contemporary American fingerstyle guitarist with an ear for the creative side of the world fusion genre. His orchestral compositions offer equal parts world and new age, an array of middle Eastern rhythms and scales, with tinges of folk and an infusion of Celtic overtones.

Inspirational Sounds from Latin America

Gerardo Calderon is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Born in Mexico City. He grew up surrounded by music, dance and culture. Gerardo is the musical director of Grupo Condor and Nuestro Canto. Gerardo released his first solo CD “Viajero – Traveler.” A blend of gentle string sounds of the guitar and the soothing sounds of the pan flutes. Gerardo composed, performed, produced and recorded the music for his solo debut.

Dave Lee Bassett

Dave Lee is a 57 year old pianist/composer residing in Gresham, Oregon. Dave has had a career in music for many years. His musical work has included radio in news, sports, commercial writing and production as well as "DJ". Dave was a pianist for Nordstrom for almost 16 years. He was the full-time pianist at the Washington Square store for over 10 years. Dave performs regularly at the Riverview Restaurant and Montgomery Park. Dave also performs during the Holiday Season at various Fred Meyer Jewelers stores (performances for 13 years).

Mickey Sievers

Mickey was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and began playing piano at age eight. By his mid-teens, he was backing up Brew Moore at the Gunga Din on Bourbon Street, Bob Manning at the Show Bar, Arthur Prysock at Jim’s Plaza, the Roy Liberto Band and Chuck Credo Band. At the famous Pat O’Brien’s, he took the days off for Mercedes, Sue and MaryJane. He also worked with Ted Lewis and Ted Weems.

Garden Goat

Garden Goat is a Sci-Firish duo from a distant Irish galaxy. Jake Wiest and Justin Van Dyke blend classic rock tradition into a yummy swirl of string rock from space.

Jessie Rae

The music of Jessie Rae has been described as 'roots pop with a blues edge' and 'cool funky folk.' The band blends elements of folk, rock, blues, reggae and R&B with their own subtle sophistication and under-stated style. From the rootsy sound of the slide guitar to the percussive rhythms of the congas, to the sultry blues of the vocals, Jessie Rae has found its own soulful sound.

Evan Churchill

Evan's style fuses together Funk and Blues guitar grooves with smooth, soulful vocals and a Jazz trumpet prowess. Combined with looper effects and vocal percussion, this one-man band creates the full, layered sound that sets him apart from other Pop Singer-Songwriters. As one fan put it..."Imagine Jason Mraz, Bill Withers and Miles Davis meeting up at a coffeehouse to jam on songs about love, life and heartbreak."

Kenny Lavitz

Kenny is a gifted artist and rhythmic explorer who blurs the lines between jazz, rock and blues. Along with his compelling original songwriting and sublime vocals, Kenny produces a distinctive sound entirely his own. You can catch Kenny’s live performances at Ava Roasteria on Hall Blvd. on the first Friday of every month and at Ava Roasteria in Progress Ridge on the first Saturday of every month!

Lew Jones

Lew Jones is an acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter. His style is somewhat akin to Chet Baker, Paul Simon and Neil Young. Lew plays blues, jazz, folk and standards as well as many instrumental songs. He has won awards in the arts and teaches at three schools in the portland area.
